I love this platform. We used it for disrupting submunitions in EOD, but that didn't prevent us from using it to see who could hit accurately as far out as possible during range time and weapons qual! A solid weapon, a perfect tool for saving lives and, for you snipers, taking them! I want to fire that new sniper round that they featured on the Military Channnel's Futureweapons! I believe it was something around the .441? Anyone got info on this?

I set five targets at 500yds and put five shots on each one. After collecting the targets I found that each round I fired almost went through the same hole.Anyone one the opposite end of the M8A1 at distance would not have a chance with a weapon of this level.

its the newly desinged bullet capable of traveling over 2500 yards, and the Barret 99A1 is the best sniper out in the world :D. is range, high accuracy in long range combat, and amount of kenetic energy that it delivers at a range of 2000 yards+ is outstanding

@ AzianBlaster: The new Sniper round featured on Futureweapons is a .408 caliber round, designed to carry close to the same kinetic energy as the .50 BMG, while maintaining supersonic speeds for longer distances, and with a flatter trajectory than the tried and true .50 round. Hope this helps.
